Marketplace Builder Module

The Challenge

PayEver’s B2B SaaS ecosystem offered 26 powerful modules, yet lacked a critical tool: a native storefront builder. Users had the inventory and payment tools but no way to design a professional, customer-facing marketplace. The goal was to build a sophisticated, drag-and-drop editor from scratch that could handle complex page hierarchies while remaining intuitive enough for non-designers to use.

The Solution

We engineered a robust Marketplace Builder Module featuring a multi-layered page editor and a comprehensive UX/UI system. The final product includes a modular drag-and-drop canvas, an inspector panel for granular styling, and a layers manager inspired by professional design tools like Figma. By integrating directly with PayEver’s existing e-commerce data, we enabled users to launch fully customized, high-converting storefronts without writing a single line of code.

Closing the Loop on the PayEver Ecosystem

PayEver had successfully mastered the "back-office" of B2B commerce with 26 modules covering payments, shipping, and CRM. However, merchants lacked a "front-window"—a way to display their inventory to the world. We were tasked with designing the 27th module: a high-performance Storefront Builder that allows users to transition from managing a business to growing a brand, all within the same dashboard.

The User Experience Architecture

Our challenge was to create an interface that felt as powerful as professional design software but remained accessible to the average business owner. We developed a "Triple-Panel" architecture to streamline the creative process:

Shopping cart interface showing no items with message: You’re $59.95 away from FREE shipping, offering free shipping, free penetrate mask, and free glow deodorant.

Product selection interface showing search results for 'Web Camera' with four camera options listed by SKU, and a search bar with a search button.

A Seamless Extension of the SaaS Identity

A major requirement was ensuring the new module felt like a native part of the PayEver suite. We expanded the existing design system to accommodate complex "Editor-state" UI elements such as hover states for layers, drag-shadows, and responsive toggle views without breaking the visual language of the other 26 modules. This consistency reduces the learning curve for existing power users.

Dynamic Data Meets Visual Design

Unlike a static website builder, the PayEver Marketplace Module is deeply integrated with the platform’s core data. We designed smart components that automatically sync with the user’s live inventory, pricing, and category structures. This ensures that when a product is updated in the "Products" module, the change is instantly reflected across the storefront, eliminating manual updates and data silos.

From Service Provider to Commerce Destination

The launch of the Marketplace Builder transformed PayEver from a backend utility into a comprehensive commerce destination. By providing a professional-grade storefront designer, PayEver now competes directly with top-tier site builders while offering the unique advantage of built-in German B2B payment and logistics infrastructure.
